Common Issues & Troubleshooting
Font changes aren't applying to my text
Make sure your text element is properly selected (you should see a blue outline). If the text is in editing mode (cursor blinking), click outside the text box first, then click once to select the entire element before changing fonts.
Premium fonts show but won't apply
Fonts with crown icons require a Canva Pro subscription. Either upgrade your account or choose from the extensive library of free fonts available. Free fonts don't have any icons next to their names.
Text effects aren't visible or look different than expected
Check your text color and background - some effects like shadows may not be visible on certain color combinations. Try adjusting the effect settings using the sliders, or change your text color to create better contrast.
Text appears blurry or pixelated after applying effects
Ensure you're working with an appropriately sized design for your intended use. Avoid excessive scaling of text elements and check that your Download quality is set to high when exporting your final design.
