Common Issues & Troubleshooting
Bulk action toolbar not appearing when tasks are selected
Ensure you're in a compatible view (List, Board, or Table). Refresh the page and try again. Some views like Calendar don't support bulk actions.
Some tasks not updating after bulk action
Check that you have edit permissions for all selected tasks. Tasks you don't have permission to modify will be skipped during bulk operations.
Bulk action options are grayed out or missing
Verify your workspace permissions and ensure you have rights to perform the specific action. Some bulk actions require admin or member-level permissions.
Large bulk operations timing out or failing
Try selecting fewer tasks at once (limit to 100-200 tasks per batch). For very large operations, consider using ClickUp's API or breaking the work into smaller chunks.
