How to share designs with team on Figma
Share Figma designs with your team by clicking the Share button in the top-right corner, entering team members' email addresses, and setting appropriate permission levels. You can also copy and share the file link or invite members to your Figma team for ongoing collaboration.
Prerequisites
- Active Figma account
- Design file created in Figma
- Team members' email addresses
- Appropriate permissions for the file
Step-by-Step Instructions
Open your design file
Click the Share button
Add team members by email
Set permission levels
- Can edit - Full editing access to modify designs
- Can view - Read-only access to view and comment
- Can comment - Can add comments but cannot edit

Common Issues & Troubleshooting
Team members can't access the shared file
Check that they have Figma accounts and verify the email addresses are correct. Ensure the file permissions are set properly and the link hasn't expired.
Share button is grayed out or missing
You may not have owner or edit permissions for this file. Contact the file owner to request sharing permissions or ask them to share the file with your team.
Team members can see the file but can't edit
Change their permission level from Can view or Can comment to Can edit in the sharing dialog. Click their name and select the new permission level.
Shared link shows 'Access denied' error
The link permissions may be restricted to specific people. In the sharing dialog, click the gear icon next to Copy link and change the setting to Anyone with the link.
