Common Issues & Troubleshooting
Edit button is missing or grayed out
Check that you're the owner of the video and have editing permissions. Some shared videos may have restricted editing access. Ensure you're using a supported browser or the latest version of the Loom app.
Video cuts are not precise
Zoom in on the timeline using the zoom controls for more precise cutting. Use frame-by-frame navigation with the left and right arrow keys to find exact cut points.
Edited video won't save or process
Check your internet connection and try refreshing the page. If processing fails, try making smaller edits in multiple sessions. Clear your browser cache or try editing in an incognito window.
Audio and video are out of sync after editing
This usually occurs with poor internet during processing. Try undoing recent changes using Ctrl+Z and re-applying edits. If the problem persists, contact Loom support for assistance.
