Common Issues & Troubleshooting
Speed effect not applying to video
Ensure the video clip is properly selected (blue outline visible) before accessing Speed Control. Try clicking directly on the clip in the timeline rather than the preview window.
Audio becomes choppy or distorted after speed change
In Speed Control settings, try enabling Maintain Audio Pitch or disable Include Audio entirely for extreme speed changes. Consider adding background music separately.
Video quality degrades after speed adjustment
Check your export settings and ensure Hardware Acceleration is enabled in Pimosa preferences. For slow-motion effects, your original video should have a high frame rate (60fps or higher).
Speed changes create jerky or stuttering playback
This often occurs with low frame rate source videos. Try reducing the speed change amount, or use Frame Interpolation option in the Speed Control advanced settings to smooth motion.
