Common Issues & Troubleshooting
Camera overlay not showing up
Check that Screen Studio has camera permissions in System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Camera. Restart Screen Studio after granting permissions.
Audio and video out of sync
This usually happens with high system load. Close unnecessary applications and try recording at 30fps instead of 60fps. Also ensure your camera supports the selected frame rate.
Camera feed appears laggy or choppy
Lower the recording quality settings or close other applications using the camera. Check that your camera isn't being used by other apps like Zoom or Skype.
Exported video has no camera overlay
Make sure the camera toggle was enabled before starting the recording. The camera overlay is embedded during recording, not added in post-processing.
