Common Issues & Troubleshooting
Cards are piling up and board feels overwhelming
Archive completed cards regularly using the Archive option. Create a Someday/Maybe list for non-urgent tasks and move less critical items there. Limit your Today list to 5-7 cards maximum.
Forgetting to check Trello throughout the day
Enable push notifications in Settings > Notifications for due dates and card assignments. Set phone reminders for 9 AM, 1 PM, and 5 PM to check your board. Pin the Trello tab in your browser or add the mobile app to your home screen.
Tasks without clear due dates keep getting postponed
Assign artificial deadlines to prevent procrastination. Use the Aging Power-Up to visually see how long cards have been sitting in lists. Create a weekly review ritual to reassess and reschedule stagnant tasks.
Difficulty prioritizing tasks when everything seems urgent
Create a Priority custom field with High/Medium/Low options, or use the Eisenhower Matrix with four lists: Urgent & Important, Important Not Urgent, Urgent Not Important, and Neither.
